I am a four or five star resort girl, but we were looking for a less expensive trip in a year we were taking two. If you are hesitating over location or the quality of the rooms - don't. I loved the room, the comfort of the bed, and the location / beach. We went during spring break and it was much less crowded here. We were able to Chromecast to the TV and watched movies as a family every evening. The pool was noisy until 10, which we could hear - I have teens and we did the movie thing - it worked out. I was grateful the pool and bar closed at 10 though, for the level of noise. Winn Dixie is a close drive for milk/snacks/drinks. Based on reviews, we avoided charging to the room, or using the hotel restaurant. We found several restaurants like Slyce and Sea Dogs in the area that we liked, and chains like Coldstone, Outback, Panda Express, Panera, Bubba Gump, all within a short drive. We didn't lack for food and it was cheaper than if there had been a boardwalk. The pool bar area was inviting on the beach side and we were tempted, but for expense decided to snack and then drive out for meals.

Love this place! Proximity to the beach is so good and a big reason why I love it so much. You can hear the waves from your room/balcony and see the kids playing on the beach. The food served on the deck is some of the best I’ve ever had and so convenient! I can’t wait to come back to see the new tiki bar. The sunset view is amazing. The beds are so comfy, which is very rare in hotels! The only “negatives” were that the shower nozzle was loose and hard for the kids to operate. The toilet paper holder was situated low to the ground and the roll kept falling off. We didnt get cookies at check-in and our room wasn’t quite ready for check-in until just before 4pm. Of course, it’s all expensive too … the hotel stay, the food & drink, the parking, … but obviously has been deemed worth it. Haven’t found any other gulf beachfront that compares. We want to stay longer than 1 night next time, hopefully.

The staff was great! I want to recogize some people Arthur at the front desk , Carmello as 1st shift cleaner outside by pool and decking area , Joy and Peter as the hostess with the resturant ! They were awesome! Carmello works hard and friendly i felt like he watched out for me since i was alone. Arthur at the front desk needs a promotion. His awesome with people and so friendly. Joy ...she is the all around and makes it all around good experience. She does whatever it takes to make you happy!

Although the area is still recovering from the hurricanes last fall, this hotel was up and running. The staff members at the front desk, at the restaurant, and at the beach bar were all super nice and efficient. We had a beautiful view of the beach from our room.

Rooms were recently renovated with everything looking new. The beach, pool, bars, restaurant, reception area, and rooms are close to one another with convenient access. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.
